How to get to Saddlers Cottage, Broughton-in-Furness?

There are plenty of ways to get to this holiday cottage accommodation in Broughton-in-Furness, here are a few options:

Car:

  • We are located approx 45 minutes off Junction 36 of the M6 Motorway.  Leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 36, follow the signs for Barrow or Workington along the A590.  You will follow the A590 for approx 21 miles.  At Greenodd, turn right onto the A5092, following onto A595 at Grizebeck.  Follow this road for just over 10 miles through Foxfield.  Take the right turn into Broughton-in-Furness.  Saddlers Cottage is on Griffin Street, which is part of the one-way system through the centre of the village.  The cottage itself is located on the T junction.
  • Street parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis.  However, there is plenty of parking around the village.

Train:

  • Foxfield Train Station is the nearest to Broughton-in-Furness - just a short 2.4 miles away.  (It is worth noting that it is not a main station, there are no facilities are taxis active here).
  • The nearest mainline train station connection would be Ulverston.  (You should be able to locate a taxi and the short ride to Broughton in Furness takes around 20-30 minutes from here).

Air:

  • The nearest Airport is Manchester Airport
  • Manchester Airport has train line connections to Ulverston via Preston / Lancaster
